Armoured Train Bases

Our brand new range of bases are designed specifically to suit the entire range of Trumpeter 1/35TH Armored Train kits.

Our new bases come in 3 styles, Type A, B and C and multiple sizes to suit the original kits track size.

All of our new armored train bases come as either Raw MDF, or in our standard finishes.

TYPE A TRAIN BASE

This style of base allows the entire Trumpeter road bed to sit directly into a precut slot that provides more strength and stability then the Trumpeter road base on its own.

This slot also stops the base flexing when the weight of the model is applied.

There is a 20mm border from the edge of the Trumpeter road bed to the edge of the base.

TYPE B TRAIN BASE

This style of base is precut to suit the sleepers whilst still connected to each other. The sleepers, whilst still connected together, simply drop in to pre cut slots.

The sleepers are recessed into the base by 2mm.

We recommend that you paint and weather your sleepers whilst still connected to the sprue, cut of and clean up, and then glue into position.

TYPE C TRAIN BASE

This style of base is precut to suit the individual sleepers that have been separated from their connecting points. The individual sleepers simply drop in to pre cut slots.

The sleepers are recessed into the base by 2mm.

We recommend that you paint and weather your sleepers whilst still connected to the sprue, cut of and clean up, and then glue into position.
